As of December 31, 2022, it owned 611 self storage properties in 24 states and the District of Columbia containing 44.1 million rentable square feet.[1] It is the 3rd largest self storage company in the United States.

History

The company was founded in July 2004 as U-Store-It Trust.[1]

In October 2004, the company became a public company via an initial public offering.[2]

In December 2008, the company moved its headquarters to Malvern, Pennsylvania.[3]

On September 14, 2011, the company changed its name to CubeSmart.[4]
