Bolano (Ligurian: Bolan[3]) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of La Spezia in the Italian region Liguria, located about 80 kilometres (50 mi) southeast of Genoa and about 11 kilometres (7 mi) northeast of La Spezia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 7,490 and an area of 14.7 square kilometres (5.7 sq mi).[4]
