Val (German: Wall) is a municipality and village in Rychnov nad Kněžnou District in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 300 inhabitants.
Val consists of two municipal parts (in brackets population according to the 2021 census):[2]
Val is located about 26 kilometres (16 mi) northeast of Hradec Králové. It lies mostly in the Orlické Foothills, only a small part of the municipal territory in the west lies in the Orlice Table. The highest point is the hill Rosošky at 429 m (1,407 ft) above sea level.
