Overhaul

I'm going to undertake a series of bold edits to this template. More than happy for (B)RD process to apply. Regards, Goldsztajn (talk) 04:02, 28 March 2024 (UTC)

Well, I did it all in one. Logic of the removals is as follows:
  • It's original research to claim that there were "annexing SSRs" - no Soviet Socialist Republic annexed territory, only the Soviet Union annexed territory
  • There were many links which are World War II related or specific to events of World War Two
  • Opposition events within the Soviet Union are not related to the status of the Eastern Bloc (and there's a mixture that were unambiguously against Communist rule, while others not as clear - eg were protests against working conditions)
  • The Eastern Bloc was about Central and Eastern Europe, not about Afghanistan or other states
