Přeborov is a municipality and village in Písek District in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 200 inhabitants.
The name is derived from the personal name Přebor, meaning "Přebor's (court)".[2]
Přeborov is located about 24 kilometres (15 mi) northeast of Písek and 60 km (37 mi) south of Prague. It lies in the Vlašim Uplands. The highest point is at 567 m (1,860 ft) above sea level.
The first written mention of Přeborov is from 1488.[3]
