Krapivinsky District (Russian: Крапи́винский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of the nineteen in Kemerovo Oblast, Russia.[1] As a municipal division, it is incorporated as Krapivinsky Municipal District.[5] It is located in the center of the oblast. The area of the district is 6,900 square kilometers (2,700 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Krapivinsky.[1] Population: 24,533 (2010 Census);[3] 27,658 (2002 Census);[7] 31,357 (1989 Soviet census).[8] The population of the administrative center accounts for 30.4% of the district's total population.[3]
