Giarole is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Alessandria in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 70 kilometres (43 mi) east of Turin and about 15 kilometres (9 mi) north of Alessandria. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 693 and an area of 5.2 square kilometres (2.0 sq mi).[3]

As historical place it is notable the Castle of Sannazzaro, built in the 12th century.
